Effective January 1, 2026, two California laws — AB 1263 and SB 704 — impose FFL-transfer, written-notice, age-verification, and reporting requirements on firearm barrels, accessories, and manufacturing machines shipped into the state; and as of July 1, 2026 a third law, AB 1127, bars California dealers from selling certain semi-automatic "machinegun-convertible" pistols. These sit on top of California's existing rules for firearm precursor parts and ammunition. Until we can build a fully compliant process, Centerfire Systems has suspended all shipments to California. Updated July 8, 2026: A July 7 court order extends the injunction blocking Virginia's assault-firearm and magazine ban statewide, effective July 21. Centerfire Systems is accepting Virginia orders again — they will ship beginning July 21, 2026. Rhode Island's ban remains in effect and covered items cannot ship to RI.
