Every firearm ships to a federally licensed dealer in your area. Use the ATF’s FFLeZCheck system to verify a dealer’s address, or contact your local gun store / pawn shop / sporting goods store to confirm they accept transfers. Once you’ve picked a dealer, email their FFL to ffl@centerfiresystems.com or attach it at checkout.

Buying A Firearm
How do I buy a gun online?

The process is simple. Every online firearm must ship to a local dealer with a Federal Firearms License (FFL). In order for us to ship to a dealer, we need a copy of their FFL on file.

Gun stores, pawn shops, and sporting goods stores typically have FFLs — contact them to confirm they accept transfers. Once you’ve added a gun to your cart, our checkout prompts you to look up your dealer’s FFL. FFLs can be emailed to ffl@centerfiresystems.com or faxed to 859-873-1842.

After the gun arrives at your dealer, you’ll pick it up there. You’ll need to pass a background check and pay a transfer fee. Check with your dealer for state or local requirements.

Can you ship a gun directly to my house?

No — all firearms must ship to a licensed FFL dealer.

Is my firearm shipment aligned with FFL and C&R license address verification?

Firearms must ship to the address on the recipient’s FFL or Curios & Relics (C&R) license. We verify every FFL address through the federal government’s FFLeZCheck system. If an address doesn’t appear in the system we can’t ship and will ask you to pick another FFL holder.

C&R orders can’t be verified through FFLeZCheck, so all C&R-eligible orders ship to the address listed on the license itself.

How do I send my FFL to you?

Email it to ffl@centerfiresystems.com, fax it to 859-873-1842, or attach it to your order at checkout.

How much does it cost to transfer a gun?

Transfer fees are set by the receiving dealer — not Centerfire Systems — and vary. Expect around $25 on average. Ask your dealer for the most accurate figure.

How can I check the status of my order?

Log in to your account. Your account page lists your order history; click an order number to open the order details and view the fulfillment status. If the order has shipped, the order page shows any tracking number or tracking link we have added. You can also use the order status link in your order confirmation or shipping email.

How do I know you’ve received my order?

Once you submit your order, a confirmation page displays your order number. You’ll also receive an email confirmation within a few minutes.

Can I pick up my website order in your store?

Yes — local customers can pick up their order for free at our Versailles, Kentucky store. Select “In-Store Pickup” at checkout. Please allow 2–3 business days for your items to arrive; we’ll contact you when your order is ready. We’re at 102 Fieldview Drive, Versailles, KY.

Can I cancel or add to an order once it’s been submitted?

Orders are processed immediately, so we can’t cancel or modify them once placed. Please review your cart carefully before checking out.

Why do firearms and ammunition require a signature?

Firearms and ammunition shipments require a delivery signature for security, theft prevention, and responsible handling. Ammunition shipments typically use an indirect signature requirement, meaning the carrier may accept a signature from someone at the delivery address or another eligible recipient allowed by the carrier. Firearms ship to the receiving FFL dealer and require an adult signature at delivery.
