California Sales Suspended: AB 1263 & SB 704 — New Firearm Barrel, Accessory & Manufacturing-Machine Rules Effective January 1, 2026
Effective January 1, 2026, two new California laws — AB 1263 and SB 704 — impose mandatory FFL transfer, written-notice, age-verification, and reporting requirements on firearm barrels, accessories, and firearm manufacturing machines shipped into the state — on top of California's existing rules for firearm precursor parts and ammunition. Until we can build a process that fully complies, Centerfire Systems has suspended all shipments to California. Here's what changed and what it means for your order.
