The Yankee Hill 5040H Q.D.S. Sight Set is a folding back-up iron sight system built on Yankee Hill's Same Plane Sight System platform for AR-platform rifles. This set pairs a precision rear sight with a hooded front sight post, allowing the front to mount on the same plane as the rear for a cleaner sight picture and improved accuracy.

Constructed from aircraft-grade aluminum with a Black Hardcoat Anodized finish, both front and rear sights lock positively in both deployed and folded positions. The spring-loaded Quick Deploy mechanism springs the sight upright with the push of a button, so your back-up irons are ready the instant you need them. When folded, the sight sits just 0.435 inches from the rail, keeping your red dot or magnified optic's line of sight clear and unobstructed.

The set mounts to any standard Picatinny rail and is designed specifically for the AR-15 and AR-platform rifles. This 5040H variant is equipped with a hooded stem on the front sight, distinguishing it from the standard 5040 configuration. The complete set weighs approximately 3.4 oz.
