The Yankee Hill 5040 Q.D.S. Sight Set pairs the YHM-5010 front sight and YHM-5030 rear sight into a folding back-up iron sight set built on Yankee Hill Machine's Same Plane Sight System for the AR-15 platform.

Both the front and rear sights are machined from aircraft-quality aluminum and finished in a black hardcoat anodized matte coating to military specifications, keeping the set light at roughly 3.4 oz while standing up to hard use on an AR-platform carbine. The assembly mounts directly to any Picatinny rail and uses a spring-loaded auto-deploy mechanism that springs the sights upright at the push of a button. Both units lock positively in the deployed and folded positions so they will not shake loose under recoil.
