The Winchester SX4 Universal Hunter is a gas-operated semi-auto shotgun built around a lightweight aluminum alloy receiver and chambered for 12 gauge with a true 3.5" chamber, giving it the versatility to cycle everything from light target loads up to 3-1/2" magnum hunting shells. The Active Valve gas system automatically adjusts to a wide range of loads, keeping recoil and cycling smooth in the field.

This configuration carries a 24" back-bored vent-rib barrel finished in the signature Mossy Oak DNA camouflage pattern, paired with a matching Mossy Oak DNA synthetic stock for an all-season, multi-terrain concealment package. The barrel is threaded for Invector-Plus Flush chokes, and three tubes ship in the box: Full, Improved Cylinder, and Modified. A TruGlo long-bead fiber-optic front sight sits on the rib for fast, intuitive target acquisition in low light.

The synthetic stock features an improved ergonomic profile with a smaller pistol grip and textured gripping panels for a secure, non-slip hold in wet conditions. The action is controlled by a drop-out trigger group for easy cleaning and maintenance, and a crossbolt safety sits at the trigger guard for positive operation. A 4-round tubular magazine gives this right-hand, full-size hunting shotgun a 4+1 capacity and an overall length of 45" at a carry-friendly 6.14 lbs.
