The Wheeler F.A.T. Wrench (Firearms Accurizing Torque) is a handheld torque driver built for applying accurate, repeatable torque settings to scope rings, base screws, and other precision firearm fasteners. Engineered by Wheeler Engineering, this bench tool helps gunsmiths and shooters avoid the over- and under-tightening that can shift optics, stress a scope tube, or crack a base.
Adjustment is straightforward: a click-stop range covers 10-65 in-lbs in 0.5 in-lb increments, and a standard 1/4" drive accepts common screwdriver bits so you can swap tips for different screw heads. The internal mechanism carries a black phosphate coating for corrosion resistance, while the signature black-and-yellow plastic housing is comfortable in the hand and easy to read at the bench.
At roughly 0.50 lbs, the F.A.T. Wrench is light enough to live in a range bag yet well-suited to the most common torque jobs in scope mounting, action work, and gunsmithing setups. Per Wheeler's documentation, common uses include installing scope ring screws and any small fastener where repeatable, accurate torque matters.
