The Wheeler Armorer's Handgun Sight Tool (710905) is a precision-machined sight pusher built for installing, removing, and adjusting front and rear dovetail sights on semi-auto pistols. It gives gunsmiths, armorers, and home pistolsmiths a controlled, repeatable way to drift sights that is far easier and more consistent than doing it freehand on a bench block.
The fixture is built around a rigid aluminum frame with steel components for the mass and stability needed to push sights without walking. A large 4-post drive knob supplies the mechanical advantage to move stubborn dovetails, and reference marks on the body let you track exactly how far the sight is being driven so adjustments stay consistent from one pistol to the next.
The tool fully captures and supports the slide during pressing, so the slide rails and internal dimensions are not pinched or deformed the way they can be when sights are drifted freehand on a hard surface. That makes it safe to use on the finished slides of duty and defensive pistols, not just rough beater guns. Wheeler specifies a torque of 50 lb-in (6 N-m) on the height adjustment hardware during setup.
Finished in yellow for visibility on a busy bench, the Wheeler 710905 is a single-purpose tool that pays for itself the first time you need to swap or adjust a pistol sight instead of sending the gun to a smith.
