The Weaver Mounts 48005 Top Mount Base 36S is a one-piece scope base machined to tight tolerances for a custom fit on the receiver of Remington 700-pattern rifles. Constructed from lightweight, recoil-resistant aluminum with a classic silver finish, the 36S gives scope rings a solid, repeatable platform so rings hold tight under hard-recoiling magnum loads.

Cut in the traditional Weaver cross-slot pattern, the 48005 accepts all Weaver top-mount cross-lock rings for a secure, repeatable ring installation. The top-mount configuration attaches directly to the rifle's receiver using the action screw holes. Rings are not included, letting you select the ring height and tube diameter that best suit your optic and shooting application.
