Weaver Mounts 417M Top Mount Base 1-Piece Matte Black Aluminum Mossberg 500

The Weaver 417M Top Mount Base is a one-piece scope base machined from aluminum and finished in matte black for Mossberg 500 (1997 and later), 590, and 835 shotguns. Designed to mount directly to the receiver of 12 gauge models, it provides a stable platform for clamping Weaver-pattern scope rings in place.

Each base is machined to tight tolerances for a custom fit to the Mossberg receiver, giving the base maximum strength so the rings hold tight under heavy recoil. The integrated Weaver cross-slot pattern accepts any standard Weaver-style ring set, letting you top-mount a riflescope or red dot on your pump-action shotgun. Per Weaver's base chart, the top mount is intended for 12 gauge models only, and the rear base screws must be shortened by grinding to clear the receiver.
