The Weatherby Vanguard Sporter is a classic-styled bolt action hunting and sporting rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. The Sporter pays tribute to Weatherby's heritage with its Grade A Turkish Walnut Monte Carlo stock and matte bead-blasted blued metalwork, blending traditional lines with the Vanguard line's proven performance and accuracy guarantee.
Built around a stainless steel action finished in matte blue and drilled and tapped for optics, the rifle features a 24-inch #2 contour threaded barrel with a target crown and a 1:8" twist. The adjustable two-stage match trigger is paired with a 3-position safety for precise, intuitive control.
The Monte Carlo walnut stock is finished in a warm brown tone and shaped for right-hand shooting, with classic styling and a raised comb that helps align the shooter with optics. With an overall length of 44 inches and a weight of 7.50 lbs, the Sporter balances well for both field carry and range work. No iron sights are installed, leaving the receiver clean for scope mounting.
Like every Vanguard, the Sporter is backed by Weatherby's accuracy guarantee - each rifle is factory-tested to produce a 3-shot group of .99" or less at 100 yards. The internal box magazine holds 4+1 rounds, making it a capable companion for hunters and sport shooters alike.
