Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian 7mm PRC 20" 3+1 Bolt-Action Rifle

The Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian is a bolt-action rifle chambered in the long-range, high-ballistic-coefficient 7mm PRC. Built on Weatherby's proven Vanguard action, the Obsidian presents a no-frills, scope-ready configuration centered on a blued 20" threaded barrel and a blued stainless steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for optic mounting.

At the muzzle end, the 20" blued threaded barrel is ready to accept a muzzle brake or suppressor of the shooter's choice. The action is paired with a 1:9" twist rate well suited to the heavy, high-BC projectiles the 7mm PRC was designed to drive, feeding a 3+1 internal box magazine. Iron sights are not provided, allowing the shooter to choose exactly how the rifle is glassed.

Shooter controls include a 3-position safety and an adjustable two-stage match trigger, letting the shooter dial in pull weight and a clean, crisp break. Together they make the Obsidian a credible tool off a bipod, a rear bag, or shooting sticks at distance.

Up top, the rifle wears a black synthetic Monte Carlo stock with a weather-resistant finish. The Monte Carlo cheekpiece and modest pistol grip deliver a repeatable cheek weld whether you're prone behind a bipod or shooting offhand in the backcountry, and the synthetic build shrugs off rain, snow, and rough hunting use without adding weight.
