The Weatherby Vanguard Obsidian is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 223 Rem that carries the brand's SUB-MOA accuracy guarantee and is built around the classic Vanguard action. It pairs a 16" cold hammer forged blued barrel with a threaded muzzle to a blued stainless steel receiver that is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, giving the shooter a compact, suppressor-ready platform right out of the box.

The rifle wears a black Monte Carlo synthetic stock that is weather-resistant and built to provide a stable, repeatable hold from the bench or in the field. Controls include an adjustable two-stage match trigger, a 3-position safety, and an M16-style extractor for positive, reliable case extraction. The barrel's 1:8" twist stabilizes a wide range of .223 Rem bullet weights, making this Obsidian equally at home on varmints, at the range, or as a defensive tool.
