Weatherby Orion SxS 28 Gauge 28" 2-Rd Break Open Side-by-Side Shotgun

The Weatherby Orion SxS is a traditional side-by-side shotgun chambered in 28 Gauge and built for upland bird hunting and clay shooting. A scaled-down addition to the Orion family, this 28 gauge SxS pairs classic British game-gun styling with Weatherby's modern manufacturing to deliver a lightweight, fast-handling shotgun for birds and clays.

At the heart of the Orion SxS is a break-open action built around a blued steel receiver and a pair of 28" blued side-by-side barrels. A 3" chamber lets the gun safely fire 2-1/2", 2-3/4", and 3" 28 gauge shells of the proper gauge. A traditional brass bead front sight sits atop the rib, and the gun weighs in at just 6.70 lbs with an overall length of 46" - comfortable for a full day in the field or behind the trap house.

The straight English walnut stock is paired with a classic splinter forend in a warm oil finish that highlights the natural wood grain. Double triggers give the shooter independent control of each barrel, and a simple tang safety keeps operation intuitive. The stock is set up for ambidextrous shooting, with the traditional straight-comb English profile favored in classic British gun design.

Five interchangeable Yildiz chokes are included - Full, Improved Cylinder, Improved Modified, Modified, and Skeet - letting the Orion SxS move easily from tight-patterned upland loads to open-patterned clay targets. With a 2-round capacity of one shell per barrel, the Orion SxS is a traditionalist's side-by-side, ready for the bird field or a round of sporting clays.
