The Weatherby Mark V Backcountry Guide is a purpose-built bolt-action rifle engineered for open-country hunting and magnum-class performance. This full-size Backcountry Guide is chambered in the high-velocity 6.5-300 WBY Mag, running through Weatherby's legendary Mark V action with a 3+1 internal box magazine and a smooth TriggerTech trigger paired with a two-position safety.

The 26" carbon fiber-wrapped BSF barrel is threaded for muzzle accessories and capped with the proven Accubrake ST muzzle brake to manage magnum recoil. It rides a 1:8" twist ideal for stabilizing a wide range of long-range projectiles. The drilled and tapped graphite black Cerakote steel receiver provides a solid optics-ready mounting platform; no iron sights are installed, letting you choose the glass that best suits your hunt.

The fixed stock is the lightweight Peak 44 Blacktooth in a black and olive green camouflage finish, built for rough backcountry use without piling on ounces. The right-hand configuration, 46" overall length, and 6.60 lb carry weight make this rifle a balanced long-range magnum platform for spot-and-stalk and mountain hunting.
