Weatherby Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Carbon 257 Wthby Mag 26" 3+1 Bolt Action Rifle

The Weatherby Mark V Backcountry 2.0 Carbon is a purpose-built, lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in the legendary 257 Wthby Mag cartridge. Part of Weatherby's flagship Mark V line, the Backcountry 2.0 pairs the proven steel Mark V action with a tensioned 26" carbon fiber-wrapped threaded barrel to deliver a sub-7-pound rifle ready for mountain game and long-range shooting without the usual bulk.

The 26" barrel is roll-wrapped with carbon fiber over a steel core and features a 1:10" twist. The barrel is factory-threaded at the muzzle, where Weatherby mounts its Accubrake ST muzzle brake to tame the 257 Wthby Mag's substantial recoil. Combined with the steel Mark V action and a crisp TriggerTech trigger, this rifle is engineered for repeatable field accuracy.

Metalwork wears a corrosion-resistant Patriot Brown Cerakote finish. The steel receiver is paired with a lightweight Peak 44 Blacktooth camouflage carbon fiber stock, bringing overall rifle weight to just 6.60 lbs. Right hand configuration. Overall length is 48.50". Capacity is 3+1 via the internal magazine. No iron sights are installed, leaving the action ready for the shooter's preferred optic. A thumb safety rounds out the manual controls.
