The Weatherby Model 307 Alpine MDT Carbon SB is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in the proprietary 7mm Backcountry cartridge. Built on Weatherby's newest bolt-action platform, the Model 307 uses a 2-lug, fully cylindrical action engineered for accuracy, reliable feeding, and modern optic compatibility.

The Alpine MDT Carbon SB configuration pairs a 16-inch fluted and threaded carbon fiber barrel with Weatherby's signature Accubrake DST muzzle brake to tame recoil. The barrel is finished in Graphite Black Cerakote, matched by the steel drilled-and-tapped receiver in the same protective coating. A 1:8" twist rate stabilizes the full range of 7mm Backcountry bullet weights Weatherby offers for this cartridge.

This rifle is built around the lightweight MDT HNT26 chassis in Black, a magnesium-alloy chassis with carbon fiber components that keeps total rifle weight at just 6.30 lbs. The chassis integrates an Arca rail forend for direct tripod and accessory mounting, and offers an adjustable stock configuration that allows overall length to run between 28.25" and 36". A TriggerTech Field trigger delivers a clean, crisp pull, paired with a two-position safety. The rifle ships with no iron sights installed, ready for the optic of your choice.
