Warne Maxima 2-Piece Steel Mauser 98 Unaltered Matte Black Scope Base

The Warne Maxima two-piece scope base is a precision-engineered mounting platform CNC-machined from solid steel and finished in a low-glare matte black. Designed specifically for the Mauser 98 Unaltered rifle, this Weaver-style base provides the strong, versatile foundation Warne's Maxima line is built around and a natural mate to Warne Maxima scope rings.

The base sits in a low-profile configuration that keeps the optic close to the bore for a natural cheek weld and allows continued use of the rifle's iron sights. Each base features a full-width recoil slot that gives the mounting screws room to absorb recoil and provides an extremely strong grip on the receiver. The Mauser 98 Unaltered configuration is held down with the included 6-48 mounting screws, torqued to Warne's recommended spec. Torx-style hardware resists stripping during installation, and the two-piece design clamps the action securely without altering the rifle.
