The rail incorporates a built-in 20 MOA cant that gives long-range shooters extra elevation adjustment in their scope - ideal for extending effective range with the long-action cartridges the X-Bolt is built around. It attaches directly to the rifle receiver and accepts both Weaver-style and Picatinny-style rings, so you can pair it with whatever ring height your optic and shooting style demand.
