Post War German Walther P38 9mm - Curio & Relic Eligible

After a long wait, our Post-war Walther P38 pistols are finally available once again! The Post-war P38 was the West-German government's adaptation of the famous war-time model Walther P38 pistol. These pistols have aluminum frames, however many of the design and mechanisms are the same as the wartime model. These pistols are in good condition and are C&R eligible. Depending on the pistol you receive, you may have one with the reinforced frame with a bolt above the trigger guard. These updated frames were made after 1975 to help the pistol's durability and to prolong it's service lifetime. Some wear may be present on the bluing, frame, and magazine depending on the pistol you receive. We recommend switching out the recoil springs on these for optimal use due to their age. The bores are shiny and have sharp rifling; I've swabbed each of the barrels a few times so you can check the rifling yourself when it arrives! Most are marked "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do" with P38 Cal. 9mm stamped underneath on the left side of the slide and the date stamp on the right side. The West German army used many wartime P38 parts to repair post-war pistols. Due to this, the year and serial stamps on many of these pistols do not match. A slide date stamp of 06/70 for example, only definitively means the slide was manufactured at that time. Each of these pistols have been functions-checked and are ready to be given a new loving home, so get them while you can! Limited supply!
