The UTG TL-EX223 Broken Shell Extractor is a compact gunsmithing tool designed to remove stubborn or broken shell casings lodged in a rifle chamber. Built from steel with a black finish, it offers a straightforward way to address stuck cases at the bench or on the range.
Specifically sized for .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO chambers, the TL-EX223 uses a threaded two-piece design that lets the user adjust the overall length to match the case being worked on. Once threaded into the stuck casing, the body is turned to draw the broken shell straight out of the chamber. The extractor works with both bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles, making it a versatile bench companion for any AR-15 or bolt-action .223 shooter.
At roughly 2.4 inches long and weighing about 0.42 oz, the TL-EX223 slips easily into a range bag, cleaning kit, or tool drawer so it is ready when needed.
