The Uncle Mike's 24520 Hammer Extension is purpose-built for Marlin lever-action rifles manufactured from 1957 to 1982. It slips over the factory hammer spur to add extra length and leverage, making the hammer far easier to reach and cock on scoped lever actions where a mounted optic sits directly in the way of the original spur.
Constructed from blued steel with a knurled gripping surface, the extension delivers solid finger purchase and the durability to handle repeated field use. It is ambidextrous and mounts to either side of most hammer-type guns, giving a right- or left-handed shooter the same reach and positive cocking surface. Installation is straightforward with the included Allen wrench, and no permanent modification to the rifle is required.
This is a simple, inexpensive, and extremely functional upgrade for any Marlin lever-action owner who has added a scope and lost easy access to the factory hammer spur.
