The Trijicon VCOG 1-8x28 is a rugged low-power variable optic (LPVO) purpose-built for fast, both-eyes-open close-quarters engagement and accurate mil-based holdovers out to medium range. Its true 1-8x magnification range and compact 28mm objective keep the sight picture low and snag-free on carbines, designated-marksman rifles, and battle rifles, while the wide 34mm main tube delivers generous internal adjustment for long-range dialing.

The illuminated Red MRAD Crosshair Dot reticle is laid out in the First Focal Plane, so subtensions scale accurately with magnification for consistent ranging and hold-off at any power setting. LED illumination is user-adjustable across 11 brightness settings - 2 night-vision compatible, 8 daylight, and 1 super-bright - giving the shooter a usable reticle from low-light to bright sun.

Power is supplied by a single AA lithium battery (included) with a runtime of approximately 633 hours on setting 6. The integrated magnification dial fin allows fast, nearly 180-degree rotation from 1x to 8x, and near-constant 4 inches of eye relief provides a forgiving head position behind the scope during recoil.

Built to Trijicon's mission-ready standard, the VCOG is waterproof to 66 feet, dry-nitrogen purged to prevent internal fogging, and tested to MIL-STD-810G procedures for shock, vibration, and environmental stress. The housing is finished in a protective Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote and is backed by Trijicon's 5-year warranty.
