The HD XR (Extreme Range) configuration pairs a taller front blade with a yellow photoluminescent paint outline for instant front-sight recognition against dark backgrounds, while the rear sight sits at standard height.

The front sight uses a green tritium lamp ringed with a distinctive yellow outline, while the rear sight features two green tritium lamps with black outlines, producing the classic 3-dot aiming picture. Both lamps are self-powered by tritium phosphor and are warranted for 12 years from the date of manufacture.
