Traditions St. Louis Hawken 50 Cal 28" Octagon Percussion Sidelock Rifle Kit

The Traditions St. Louis Hawken is a percussion muzzleloader rifle kit chambered in .50 caliber, built in the traditional Hawken pattern with an octagonal blued barrel and a wood stock. This kit provides all the major components needed to assemble a single-shot black powder rifle.

At the heart of the kit is a 28-inch octagonal barrel finished in Blued, fitted with a hooked breech and a 1:48" twist. A blade front sight is paired with an adjustable rear sight for holdover at hunting ranges and on the target range. The barrel accepts standard .50 caliber black powder projectiles.

The lock is a traditional sidelock with a brass trigger. The lockplate, trigger assembly, tang, and lock bolts are fitted to the included wood stock during assembly, yielding a finished rifle with an overall length of 44.5" and a weight of 7.875 lbs.

Designed for hunting and target shooting, the St. Louis Hawken kit provides a hands-on build experience that ends with a fully functional .50 caliber black powder rifle. .50 caliber black powder, projectiles, patches, and standard muzzleloading accessories are sold separately.
