The Traditions NitroFire VAPR is a modern muzzleloader chambered in .50 caliber that brings shotgun-style reliability to the hunt thanks to its 209 primer ignition, eliminating the need for percussion caps and removing much of the weather-dependence common to traditional black-powder rifles. The break-open single-shot action swings open for fast loading and easy cleaning, making this rifle as practical at the range as it is in the field.

At the heart of the NitroFire VAPR is Traditions' proprietary 1:24" VAPR Twist rifling, housed in a 26" Chromoly steel barrel that is both fluted and tapered for reduced weight and improved heat dissipation over long strings of fire. The barrel wears a rugged Sniper Gray Cerakote finish that protects against corrosion and the elements, and the receiver is drilled and tapped to accept optics right out of the box.

The fixed synthetic stock is finished in Veil Alpine camouflage, a versatile pattern designed to break up the rifle's outline in a variety of hunting environments. A rubber butt pad helps tame felt recoil, while an overall length of 42" keeps the NitroFire VAPR well-balanced for offhand and supported shooting alike.
