The Traditions Kentucky Pistol Kit is a .50 caliber single-shot percussion muzzleloading pistol built around a traditional sidelock action. Sold in kit form, this pistol ships with every major component needed to assemble a shootable black powder handgun — the buyer simply fits and finishes the hardwood stock to the lock and barrel.

At the heart of the Kentucky is a 10" octagonal barrel finished in classic blued steel, paired with a matching blued sidelock that fires via #11 percussion ignition. A clean single trigger and traditional fixed blade sights round out the operating controls, while the unfinished select hardwood stock is sized to the lock and barrel, ready for shaping, staining, and oiling.

At 2.75 lbs unloaded and a compact 15" overall length, the Kentucky Pistol handles easily for woods walking, traditional black powder target shooting, or plinking. The exposed sidelock gives the pistol a classic flintlock-era appearance, and the steel barrel, lockwork, and trim are uniformly finished in blued for a clean, traditional look.
