The Traditions A1278 cleaning brush is purpose-built for thorough bore cleaning of .50 to .54 caliber muzzleloader barrels. Made by Traditions Performance Firearms for use with their break-action and in-line muzzleloader lineup, this brush scrubs black powder fouling and residue from the bore between shooting sessions and is sturdy enough for routine bench and field cleaning.

The brush uses bronze bristles anchored to a brass core, giving the right balance of stiffness to clean a muzzleloader bore without damaging the rifling. Bronze is the standard bristle material for black powder firearms because it is non-sparking and softer than steel, making it ideal for use in traditional muzzleloader bores where harsher metal brushes would be unsuitable.
