The Traditions 1873 Frontier is a classic single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. It is built on a large frame with a six-shot capacity and an exposed hammer that is thumb-cocked for each shot in true single-action fashion. The Frontier is purpose-built for cowboy shooting competitions, SASS-style events, and traditional revolver enthusiasts who want the look and feel of a frontier-era six-shooter in a modern, production-line revolver.
This configuration pairs a 3.50-inch blued barrel with a matching blued 6-round cylinder, all housed in a color case hardened steel frame. The mottled case-hardened treatment gives the frame the traditional blue-and-gray patina associated with period single-action revolvers, while the shorter 3.5-inch barrel keeps the gun compact and well-balanced for fast single-action handling. A fixed blade front sight sits atop the barrel for a traditional sight picture, and the revolver weighs approximately 35 ounces to help manage .357 Magnum recoil.
Smooth walnut Navy-size grips are fitted to the original grip frame, offering a clean traditional look and a comfortable hold for extended range sessions. The single-action-only trigger and exposed hammer make this Frontier an authentic-feeling six-shooter chambered for .357 Magnum.
From Traditions, the 1873 Frontier delivers the look, feel, and function of a classic single-action revolver in a modern, reliable package ready for the range or the competition line.
