Thompson TAO50 50 BMG 29" 10+1 Bolt-Action Rifle

The Thompson TAO50 is a heavy, purpose-built bolt-action tactical rifle chambered in the massive .50 BMG cartridge, designed for extreme-range precision and hard-hitting anti-material performance. Brought to market by Auto-Ordnance under the historic Thompson brand, this rifle pairs serious ballistics with a fully featured chassis system.

At the core of the TAO50 is a 29-inch steel barrel with a 1:15 twist, optimized to stabilize the heaviest .50 BMG projectiles. A high-efficiency muzzle brake tames the punishing recoil that this cartridge generates, while the receiver is machined from aluminum and finished in black anodized with an integral Picatinny optics rail ready for scope or accessory mounting.

Controls are dialed in for serious shooters. A Timney trigger delivers a clean, predictable single-stage break, paired with an ambidextrous safety for confident left- or right-hand operation. The chassis wears a Magpul PRS Gen3 polymer stock in black with adjustable cheek weld and length-of-pull, along with a Magpul MOE+ pistol grip for a secure, ergonomic hold. An Accu-Tac bipod ships installed for a stable prone or benchrest shooting platform.

With a 10+1 capacity, an overall length of 61 inches, and a weight of 25.5 lbs, the TAO50 is a heavy, stable long-range rifle suited for extreme-distance work, anti-material roles, or display in any Thompson collection. The rifle ships in new condition, configured without iron sights so the end user can mount their preferred optic on the included Picatinny rail.
