The Taylor's & Company 1873 Cattleman is a faithful rendition of the iconic Colt Single Action Army revolver, manufactured by Uberti in Italy and imported by Taylor's & Company. This configuration uses the "New Model" Cattleman frame, distinguished by a slightly higher fixed front sight, an oblong ejector-plunger grip, and a spring-loaded cylinder retainer pin.
Chambered in 45 Long Colt, the Cattleman carries 6 rounds in a blued cylinder and pairs it with a round 5.50" blued barrel. The steel frame wears a traditional color case hardened finish, the classic look that has defined this single-action pattern for well over a century.
This is a true single-action-only (SAO) revolver with an exposed hammer and a crisp trigger pull designed for the deliberate, one-handed shooting style of cowboy action competition and old-west recreation. Walnut Navy-style grips fill the hand comfortably, and the blade front / notched rear sight pair delivers a simple, effective sight picture. At 2.50 lbs empty and 11.10" overall, the 5.5" Cattleman balances nicely for both field carry and range work.
Built on the timeless 1873 platform, the Cattleman remains one of the most popular single-action revolvers for cowboy action shooting, western-style reenactment, and casual plinking, while also serving as a reliable six-shooter for personal protection.
