The Taylor's & Company 1873 Cattleman is a classic Western-style single-action revolver built on the iconic 1873 Colt Peacemaker pattern. This configuration (item 200070) is chambered in 45 Colt (LC) and pairs a 4.75" blued barrel with a 6-shot blued cylinder, giving it the traditional balance and handling that made the original Peacemaker a frontier legend.
The frame is forged steel finished in color case hardening - the period-correct treatment used on Colt's New Model revolvers - while the barrel, cylinder, and small parts wear a deep blued finish. An exposed hammer, single-action-only trigger, and simple blade front sight keep the controls and sighting plane authentic to the original design.
The smaller birdshead walnut grip gives this Cattleman its compact "Navy-size" feel in the hand, making it a favorite for cowboy action shooting competition and historical reenactment where quick handling and period-correct lines matter. At 10.30" overall length and 2.45 lbs, it carries light on the belt and points naturally for fast, accurate close-range work.
