The Taylor's & Company 1873 Cattleman is a faithful reproduction of the legendary Colt single-action revolver, chambered in 45 Colt (Long Colt) and manufactured by Uberti in Italy. Built in the classic western tradition, this Cattleman pairs a 4.75" round blued barrel with a matching blued cylinder riding on a forged steel frame finished in color case hardening for the period-correct look that defined the original 1873 Single Action Army.
This configuration uses the New Model frame layout, featuring a slightly higher fixed front sight, an oblong ejector-plunger grip profile, and a spring-loaded cylinder retainer pin. Traditional sights consist of a fixed blade front and a notched rear trough for fast, instinctive close-range shooting. The exposed hammer is thumb-cocked for each shot in true single-action fashion, and the action breaks cleanly with a crisp trigger pull. A traditional loading gate on the frame gives access to the 6-round cylinder.
The one-piece walnut Navy-style grip is the smaller of the two classic Cattleman grip profiles, giving this revolver a compact, period-correct feel in the hand. Total weight comes in at 2.45 lbs with an overall length of 10.35". Designed for personal protection and sport, the 1873 Cattleman is equally at home on a cowboy-action shooting line as it is in a display case as a faithful piece of Old West history.
