The Taylor's & Company 1873 Cattleman New Model is a six-shot, single-action revolver patterned after the legendary Colt Single Action Army and chambered in .357 Magnum. Built for Cowboy Action Shooting, traditional western-style shooting, and old-west enthusiasts, this Taylor Tuned example pairs a 5.50" barrel, a six-round cylinder, and a forged color case hardened steel frame with the smoother action that has made Taylor's New Model Cattleman a favorite among period shooters.

The barrel and cylinder carry Taylor's polished blued finish for a deep, lustrous appearance, and the frame is left in the traditional color case hardened finish so each gun shows its own unique mottled pattern. Controls are pure single-action: cock the exposed hammer, thumb the trigger, and fire one round per pull through the Taylor Tuned action. The 1873 New Model design also adds modern convenience touches over the original 1873 design, including a quick-release cylinder pin, slightly wider sights, and a slim ejector rod tab.

A Navy-size walnut grip sits ahead of the color case hardened frame, filling the hand for a comfortable, natural reach to the trigger. Sights are configured in the period-correct arrangement with a fixed front blade and a notched rear, and the revolver ships ready for traditional sixgun shooting right out of the box.

At 39.20 oz unloaded and an 11.10" overall length, the Cattleman New Model balances well for both field carry and timed cowboy-action events.
