The Taylors and Company 1873 Cattleman revives the classic American West single-action revolver in a hard-hitting modern chambering. Built around the iconic 1873 frame, this SAO six-shooter feeds the 44 Rem Mag cartridge from a blued 6" barrel and a six-shot cylinder that has become the visual signature of the Cattleman line.
The revolver wears a consistent blued finish across its steel frame, cylinder, and barrel for a clean, traditional look. Western-era appointments carry over to the controls: an exposed hammer for thumb-cocking and de-cocking, a blade front sight paired with a notched rear, and a Walnut Army Size grip sized to fill the hand without crowding it.
At 11.50" overall and weighing 41.60 oz, the 6" Cattleman balances well for slow, deliberate fire. Built for personal protection and sport, it remains a favorite for cowboy action shooting, range plinking, and Western reenactment, equally at home in a period-correct holster or on the bench of a handgunner who appreciates the lineage of the original Colt Single Action Army.
