The Taurus TH40 is a full-size, hammer-fired 40 S&W duty and defensive pistol built on a traditional double-action/single-action (DA/SA) platform. Sized for serious work with a 15+1 capacity and a 4.27" matte stainless steel barrel, the TH40 delivers full-size sight radius and shootability without crossing into bulky territory.

The matte black carbon steel slide is finished with front and rear serrations for press checks and slide manipulations, and is paired with drift-adjustable Novak front and rear sights for a snag-free, duty-style profile. The black polymer frame carries an integrated Picatinny accessory rail under the dust cover for mounting a weapon light or laser, while the black finger-grooved polymer grip is contoured for a right-hand hold and ships with interchangeable backstraps so the handgun can be tuned to a wide range of hand sizes.

Controls are deliberately classic: a DA/SA trigger with a manual thumb safety, backed up by Taurus's internal firing-pin block for drop protection.
