The Taurus Raging Hunter is a large-frame, hunting-oriented revolver chambered in the hard-hitting .460 S&W Magnum cartridge. Built around an all-steel frame and cylinder finished in a low-glare matte black oxide, this five-shot big-bore revolver pairs a 6.75" ported steel barrel with a weight-saving aluminum barrel shroud. The sleeved-barrel design incorporates factory-tuned porting and a gas-expansion chamber specifically engineered to tame muzzle rise and keep the gun on target for fast, accurate follow-up shots at short- to medium-range hunting distances.

Fire control runs a traditional single-action/double-action (SA/DA) mechanism with an exposed hammer, giving shooters the choice of a deliberate, precise single-action trigger pull or a quick double-action press. The barrel carries a black anodized finish, while the large frame, cylinder, and barrel together produce a balanced overall weight of 54 oz and an overall length of 12.50". Sighting is handled by a fixed front blade paired with an adjustable rear sight, and recoil is controlled by black rubber grips with an integrated cushion insert that absorb shock across the heaviest magnum loads.
