The Taurus Judge Public Defender is a compact, dual-purpose revolver chambered for .45 Colt (Long Colt) and .410 Gauge, letting the shooter run magnum pistol rounds or .410 shotshells from the same cylinder. It is built on a small all-steel frame finished in Flat Dark Earth, paired with a 2.50" barrel in matching FDE and a matte black oxide cylinder for a two-tone look. The cylinder holds 5 rounds, and the action is single-action-only (SAO) with an exposed hammer for deliberate, controlled fire.

A red fiber optic front sight pairs with a fixed rear for fast target acquisition, and a wraparound Black Ribber grip cushions recoil and stays secure in hand. Functional details include a reduced-profile hammer, an extended ejector rod, the Taurus Security System keyed safety, and a transfer bar that only uncovers the firing pin when the trigger is fully pulled.
