The Taurus Judge Magnum is the original 5-shot revolver that put Taurus on the map - a versatile compact-frame wheel gun chambered for both .45 Colt (Long Colt) and .410 Gauge shotshells in a single cylinder. This configuration pairs a long 6.5" matte stainless barrel with a full sight plane, giving the shooter the reach needed for trail, truck, or home-defense roles where a snub-nose Public Defender is too short.

Built around a stainless steel frame with a matching matte stainless barrel and cylinder, the Judge Magnum shrugs off weather and holster wear. The double-action/single-action trigger can be run fast in DA for defensive work or cocked for a precise single-action pull. Its 5-round capacity accepts .45 Colt cartridges as well as 2.5" and 3" .410 shotshells - birdshot, buckshot, slugs, and traditional handgun bullets all feed through the same cylinder for unmatched load flexibility.

Shooting the gun is straightforward: a bright fiber optic front sight mates to a fixed rear sight for fast target acquisition, while the soft Black Ribber grip overlay soaks up recoil and keeps the gun planted in the hand. An exposed hammer lets the shooter manually cock for single-action work, and the integrated transfer-bar safety prevents accidental discharge if the hammer is lowered on a loaded chamber. At 48 oz and 12.50" overall, the Judge Magnum hits a comfortable middle ground between the snubby Public Defender and the longer Tracker variants, making it purpose-built for personal protection and sport shooting alike.
