The Taurus Deputy is a medium-frame single-action revolver built around a clever dual-cylinder concept: the factory package ships with both a .357 Magnum cylinder and an interchangeable 9mm Luger cylinder, letting the shooter swap between two of the most popular revolver and pistol cartridges without tools.

Chambered for 6 rounds, the Deputy uses a 5.50" barrel and a polished black steel frame paired with a matching black alloy steel barrel and cylinder. The medium frame keeps the gun slim in the hand while still accepting full-length .357 Magnum loads (and .38 Special +P), and the revolver tips the scales at roughly 2.60 lbs with an overall length of 11.04".

Classic single-action features include an exposed hammer for thumb-cocking, a transfer bar safety that blocks the firing pin unless the hammer is fully cocked and the trigger is pulled, and a set of fixed sights for a rugged, no-snag sight picture. The grips are a contoured black polymer pattern sized for the medium frame.
