The Taurus 856 is a compact six-shot .38 Special revolver purpose-built for everyday concealed carry and personal defense. Sized for discreet carry, this small-frame double-action/single-action revolver measures just 6.55" overall with a 2" matte stainless steel barrel and tips the scales at approximately 22 oz. A six-round capacity gives it a practical edge over typical five-shot snub-nose revolvers, while the slim profile keeps it comfortable for inside-the-waistband or pocket-style carry.

The matte stainless steel frame is paired with a black cylinder and a set of textured Black G10 grips for a clean two-tone carry profile that resists corrosion and wear. An exposed hammer allows for traditional single-action fire and easy cocking/decocking, while the integrated transfer bar safety prevents firing unless the trigger is fully pressed, a Taurus hallmark on the 856 line.
