The Taurus 850 is a compact, double-action-only snub-nose revolver purpose-built for concealed carry and personal defense. Chambered in .38 Special, this small-frame revolver feeds from a 5-round cylinder and pairs a 3-inch barrel with a fully concealed hammer for snag-free draws from inside-the-waistband holsters.

Built around an alloy steel frame finished in matte black, the 850 carries a matching matte black barrel and cylinder to keep glare down in defensive situations. The concealed hammer design eliminates the risk of the spur catching on clothing during the draw, and a transfer-bar safety system positively blocks the firing pin from moving until the trigger is pulled. A removable serrated blade front sight and a fixed rear sight provide a simple, snag-resistant sight picture well suited to close-range defensive work.
