The Taurus 692 is a versatile medium-frame revolver built around a simple but effective idea: one gun, three calibers. Shipped with two interchangeable cylinders, the 692 shoots .38 Special +P and .357 Magnum from one cylinder, then swaps to 9mm Luger with a drop-in cylinder change. That flexibility makes it equally at home as a defensive revolver, a trail gun, and a cost-effective trainer when fed inexpensive 9mm.

A 6.50" vent-rib barrel with a matte black finish is matched to a matte black cylinder and alloy steel frame for a low-glare profile. The 7-shot capacity, DA/SA action, and exposed hammer deliver a classic double-action feel, while a transfer bar safety keeps the trigger safe to carry. Fixed front and adjustable rear sights sit atop the rib for quick, intuitive alignment at distance.
