The Taurus 692 is a multi-caliber DA/SA revolver built on a medium stainless steel frame and ships with two interchangeable cylinders so the shooter can convert between .38 Special +P / .357 Magnum and 9mm Luger by simply swapping the cylinder - no gunsmith required. Caliber changes are as fast as the mission demands, making the 692 a versatile choice for home defense, range, or field use.
The 3" ported barrel is finished in matte stainless to match the cylinder and frame, with ports that help manage recoil and muzzle rise during rapid fire. The revolver carries 7 rounds, an exposed hammer for deliberate single-action cocking, and a transfer bar safety that only allows the trigger to fire when the hammer is fully cocked and released.
Sights consist of a fixed front blade paired with an adjustable rear, and the Black Ribber rubber overmold grips give a positive handhold in adverse conditions. At 35 oz and an 8.14" overall length, the 692 sits firmly in the medium-frame class, balancing controllability with quick handling. A second 9mm Luger cylinder is included in the box so the owner can swap from rimmed magnum ammunition to rimless 9mm in seconds.
