The Taurus Model 65 is a medium-frame, double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum and engineered to also accept .38 Special and .38 Special +P rounds. Built around an alloy-steel frame in a medium size, the Model 65 ships with a 4" barrel and a matching six-shot cylinder, giving shooters a versatile six-shooter for personal protection and range/sport use from a single platform.

The Model 65 wears a matte black oxide finish on the barrel, cylinder, and frame for a low-glare, purposeful look. A transfer-bar safety helps prevent accidental discharge, while the exposed hammer lets the shooter deliberately cock the gun for crisp single-action fire; the trigger runs through the full double-action pull for the rest of the work. Fixed front and rear sights sit atop the barrel for a simple, durable aiming setup that is always ready to go.

To handle full-power .357 Magnum loads as well as lighter-recoil .38 Special target and defense ammo, the revolver is fitted with black finger-grooved rubber grips shaped to the natural contour of the shooting hand.
