The Tapco TAP22030 Stock Wrench is a purpose-built AR-15 gunsmithing tool designed to handle the three most common jobs when installing or removing an AR-15 buttstock assembly. This compact, multi-function wrench consolidates the tools you need into a single, easy-to-carry implement so you can work on your rifle without hunting for separate wrenches.
The wrench head features a mil-spec castle nut wrench for tightening or loosening the receiver extension castle nut, a standard-length receiver extension removal tool for unscrewing the buffer tube from the lower receiver, and an A1/A2 flash suppressor wrench for removing and installing the standard AR-15/M16 flash hiders. Together, these three functions let you remove a stock assembly and service the rifle end-to-end with one tool.
Precision machined from heat-treated steel and made in the USA, the TAP22030 is built for years of hard use and is backed by Tapco's lifetime warranty. The tool is outfitted with a comfortable red rubber handle that provides positive grip even with gloved or oily hands. Measuring 11.1 inches long, 2.0 inches wide, and just 0.6 inches thick, the wrench weighs only 0.33 lb - compact enough to drop into a range bag or bench drawer and have on hand whenever you need it.
