The Tannerite 1BR is Tannerite's full 1-pound binary exploding target, sold by the case of 16 targets. Each 1BR brick contains four pre-measured 1 lb targets along with the catalyst packets, a mixing container, and instructions needed to prepare them. Tannerite targets use a two-part binary mixture of fuel and oxidizer that remains non-hazardous for storage and handling until the catalyst is combined, making them safe and convenient to keep on the bench or transport when un-mixed.

Once mixed and set out, the 1BR is designed to detonate only when struck by a high-velocity centerfire rifle round, producing a loud report and a bright white vapor cloud for instant, unmistakable visual and audible feedback at the impact point. Because initiation requires a centerfire rifle impact, these are true impact-activated, single-use reactive targets with no auto-resetting function.
