Tannerite binary targets ship as two inert components - an oxidizer and an aluminum-based fuel - that remain safe in storage and ground transport. Once mixed in the included container and struck by a centerfire rifle bullet weighing 40 grains or more traveling at a minimum of 2,000 fps, the mixture detonates in a controlled reaction.
