The SureFire XVL2-IRC is a compact, four-in-one pistol and carbine WeaponLight module that pairs a 400-lumen white LED with a visible green laser, an infrared (IR) illuminator, and an IR laser in one low-profile unit. Engineered by SureFire as a paradigm shift in weapon-mounted illumination and aiming systems, the XVL2-IRC is built primarily for railed handgun duty and is equally at home on submachine guns and personal defense weapons.

At its core, the XVL2-IRC pairs a white-light LED rated at 400 lumens with an IR illuminator that delivers 300 milliwatts of infrared output for use with night vision devices. The visible aiming laser is a <5 mW green laser at 520 nm for daylight aiming, and the covert IR laser at <0.7 mW provides a discreet aiming reference under night vision. All four functions are selected through the integrated push-button/toggle switch, letting the operator move from positive target identification under white light to fully covert IR aiming without breaking grip.

The body is CNC-machined from aluminum and finished in rugged black anodizing to resist corrosion and wear. The package measures just 3 inches overall with a 1.06-inch head diameter and tips the scales at only 5.0 oz. Power comes from a single CR123A lithium battery, and the housing is sealed to IPX8 waterproof standards so the unit keeps functioning in wet, adverse conditions. The XVL2-IRC mounts via SureFire's accessory rail interface, slotting onto rail-equipped pistols, carbine forearms, and PDWs.
