Both pieces are machined from steel and finished in a durable black coating to blend with the rest of your lower. The castle nut has been lengthened to engage more of the receiver extension's threaded area, providing a sturdier lock-up against the buffer tube and a cleaner sightline along the buttstock. The matching extended end plate ties the system together and shifts the QD socket rearward, moving the sling swivel clear of the shooter's support-hand webbing for a more comfortable carry.
